POSITION TITLE: EMT Intern – Hot Springs
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
Summary: An apprentice position with goal being to be able to provide safe, quality
basic emergency medical care and transportation under the guidelines of state protocols and
LifeNet standards of care. Assist Paramedics with the provision of care. Maintain equipment
and vehicles utilized in providing service. LifeNet, Inc. will pay for 75% of EMT school
expenses, up to $1000.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work 20 hours per week
Attend any EMT school in our service area to obtain certification
Maintain acceptable grades while in EMT school. Must submit progress report upon
Must complete program and clinical hours by the end of class schedule
Assist with supply room duties
Third ride on unit
Assist Operations Manager and Director of Operations with daily processes/duties
Other duties as deemed necessary.
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Minimum age of 18
Must enroll in EMT certification program within 45 days of hire, school schedule accommodating
Must receive EMT certification within 45 days of completing EMT course
Must obtain state certification – Arkansas
Current state driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Negative drug screen
Ability to pass Physical Ability Test (PAT)
